St. Vincent de Paul

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a Catholic organization of lay people. "Vincentians" have, historically, made the gift of their services selflessly, attempting by action to serve the needs of the poor, the needy and the handicapped.

This Society was founded in Paris, France in 1833 by Frederick Ozanam and named after Saint Vincent de Paul, a French priest of the early 1600's who had dedicated his life to charitable works.

Our local St. Vincent de Paul Society operates the Religious Goods Store in the church foyer.

A message from Fort St. John Society of St. Vincent de Paul &
Church of the Resurrection:

It's that time of year again when we all think about the less fortunate in our community. With this in mind the parish office and St. Vincent de Paul would ask everyone that if you are approached by someone asking for money please refer them to the St. Vincent de Paul or the parish office. We have placed some business cards on the table at the back of the church with St. Vincent de Paul Society's contact information.
Also, if you would like to make a donation to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul it would be much appreciated. If you require a tax receipt, please make your cheque payable to Church of the Resurrection with S.S.V.P. in the memo field. We in turn will issue a tranfer cheque to St. Vincent de Paul.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
