Ministries:

Altar Servers - Servers are involved in a very special way, by assisting Father during the Mass.  The ministry of Altar Servers helps to make the Mass special for the rest of the congregation. Available for children in Grade 3 or higher.

Art & Environment (Decorating) - The people involved in this ministry take turns each week watering plants, checking altar cloths and changing banners and décor to reflect the liturgical seasons.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word - Children’s Liturgy of the Word is offered at the 10:00 a.m. mass each Sunday and introduces the gospel to children ages three to eight years old.

Church Cleaning - Every Saturday a group of volunteers clean the church. Anyone can come and help to keep our church clean and presentable for worship of our Lord. There are also several times throughout the year where an extra cleaning is done.

Communion to sick & shut-ins - This Ministry consists of a group of Eucharistic Ministers visiting the hospital every weekend to give Holy Communion to all the Roman Catholic patients.  They also visit the home bound.

Eucharistic Ministers - The celebration of the Holy Eucharist, celebrates the mystery of Christ’s passion, his death and resurrection. The Ministers assist the Priest by distributing communion and offer blessings to children and to those who do not receive communion during Mass.

Hospitality - Hospitality members help to prepare for special celebrations held at the church. This includes preparing coffee, goodies, etc.

Lay Led Liturgy Team - In the absence of the Priest, the community gathers to have a celebration of the Word with Communion.

Lectors (Readers) - The Readers share announcements for the masses, proclaim the two readings and lead the Prayers of the Faithful.

Music - Music ministry is made up of various choirs that gather to offer their talents by leading the congregation in song and praise.  With voice and instruments they bring joy to the weekend celebrations to the parish community and to the sick and elderly at the Care Home.  The choirs bring solace to the grieving at funerals.  Each week they gather for practice and share their gifts.  They join other choirs at special times of celebration at Fort St. John community events.

Prayer Requests - This ministry offers intercessory prayers for personal and spiritual needs through a prayer chain of parishioners.

Youth Ministry - This ministry helps to prepare our young people for life in the world, through prayer and church community based, faith centered, fun activities.  Bringing God’s love to life in the hearts and souls of our youth, their families and friends is our mission and calling.
